Am I eligible for Job Corps?

Eligibility is reviewed for each applicant by an assigned Admissions Representative after you submit your application

You may be eligible for Job Corps if you:

  • Are low-income 16–24 years old who is a U.S. citizen, legal U.S. resident or resident of a U.S. territory, and/or individual who are authorized to work in the United States. In some cases, the upper age limit can be waived if you are a person with a disability. 

  • Are interested in career training, earning a high school diploma or equivalent, and preparing for work or further education

If you are under 18: a parent, guardian, or approved representative may need to help you with some parts of the application, such as signing agreements.

You may NOT be eligible for Job Corps if you: 

  • Use drugs illegally under federal law
  • Exhibit behavioral problems that could prevent you or others from success in Job Corps
  • Have certain criminal convictions or require court supervision    

Tip: Even if you’re unsure about some requirements, your Admissions Representative can review your application and let you know.
